Yes, that certainly fits their depopulation agenda, along with assisted suicide for the elderly, mentally handicapped, & depressed, chemical castration & genital mutilation of children and adolescents, post-birth withdrawal of care for botched abortion babies, etc. Wars, crime, riots, letting violent criminals go free...all fit, as you suggest, with increasing mortality rates.
COVID was their ploy to attempt a "mostly peaceful" depopulation.
